LOW TESTOSTERONE

Low levels of testosterone, a natural hormone produced in the body, can lead to hair loss, weight gain, a decrease in sex drive and many other unwanted side effects.  Testosterone can be restored with prescribed treatments, starting with a simple physical exam.  We use the most advanced medical technologies to bring testosterone levels to their peak.

SYMPTOMS

low sex drive.png

LOW SEX DRIVE

Testosterone plays a key role in a man's libido.  This is only the interest and desire for sex, not performance.  A dramatic drop in libido may be a sign of low testosterone levels, no matter the age of the individual.

weight gain.png

INCREASED BODY FAT

Men with low testosterone may experience increases in body fat; particularly enlarged breast tissue due to the imbalance of estrogen (female hormone) and testosterone.

HAIR LOSS

Balding can be a natural part of aging.  However, men with low testosterone levels reported more rapid hair loss at younger ages.

ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION

Testosterone aids in achieving and maintaining healthy erections.  Some medications can interfere with erections as can certain medical conditions.  A medical exam is crucial to determine the exact cause.

FATIGUE

In addition to severe fatigue, men with low testosterone often lose their drive and initiative. Despite getting plenty of sleep, men suffering from low testosterone often find it difficult to get motivated to conquer daily activities.

LOW BLOOD COUNTS

Low testosterone levels are linked with an increased risk of anemia.  Some of the symptoms of anemia include difficulty concentrating, leg cramping, problems sleeping and an abnormally rapid heart rate.

muscle loss.png

LOSS OF MUSCLE MASS

Because testosterone plays a role in muscle building, a decrease in muscle mass, despite regular physical activities, can be attributed to low testosterone.

MOOD CHANGES

Research suggests that men with low testosterone are more likely to experience irritability, a lack of focus and depression due to testosterone's role in bodily functions.  too often, antidepressant treatments are prescribed without consideration for testosterone levels.

bone mass.png

DECREASED BONE MASS

Testosterone helps produce and strengthen bone tissues.  Men with low testosterone levels have lower bone volume and are more susceptible to bone fractures.  The medical term for bone thinning is Osteoporosis.

INJECTION THERAPY

Injecting testosterone into the body using a syringe just once or twice per week.  This is the most common and effective treatment and allows for the readjustment of dosage.  Can be done in office or at home with the a doctor's approval.

CREAMS & TROCHES

A solution for application through the skin or mouth.  Creams dry within a few minutes and releases testosterone into the bloodstream over a 24-hour period.  Must be removed and reapplied to avoid being transmitted to others.  Mint flavored troches dissolve in the mouth over the course of a few minutes.  Will need to be done a few times per day depending on the individual dosage.
